The opportunity
Altruist is in the midst of an exceptional growth phase and we’re excited to hire a Salesforce Architect to join our growing Customer Operations team. As Altruist’s only Salesforce Architect, you will have the opportunity to own the design and delivery of numerous high-impact projects across our Sales, Customer Support, and Operations teams.
What you’ll do
- Own all aspects of our Salesforce instance by acting as the principal architect and primary administrator
- Implement best-practice deployment procedures to increase data, permissions, and automation accuracy
- Work closely with team members to ensure day-to-day system operations are covered and executed at a high caliber
- Manage our agile, sprint-based development operation, ensuring maximum capacities are being utilised and deadlines are being met
- Build, maintain, debug, and enhance custom Salesforce integrations (Apex, APIs, middleware) to ensure accurate, reliable, and scalable data flows across critical business systems.
- Help design and execute data model implementations; conduct data migrations
- Refine and optimize the customer experience by implementing revisions to our community site, in-app widgets, telephony system, and other channels
- Build technical documentation to map and define our data model, integrations, automation, and other system components
- Implement innovative solutions and power continuous improvement to drive operational excellence across Sales, CS, and Operations
- Proficiently capture and strategically manage all business-critical data, facilitating streamlined extraction of insights for enhanced business decision-making and superior outcomes.
- Build and maintain reporting and dashboards
- Ensure Salesforce is secure and compliant at all times

What you bring
- 10+ years as a Salesforce administrator; 5+ years as the primary administrator and architect; Certified Salesforce Administrator
- 5+ years administering a Service Cloud instance
- Experience working on custom integrations through Apex triggers and APIs
- Experience leading development sprints from Jira
- Experience administering Service Cloud Voice via Amazon Connect is a plus
- Experience manipulating and migrating large-scale datasets
- Advanced Excel skills, with a focus on skills needed to conduct data migrations
- Proven track record of working with systems to measurably increase team productivity and/or customer outcomes
- Comfortable working through ambiguity to provide effective solutions in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment
- Demonstrated commitment to proactively improve and refine system, data management, and reporting skills.
- Team player attitude; low ego; able and willing to pivot quickly and wear multiple hats
Los Angeles, CA salary range
$124,000—$170,000 USD

Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package, along with equity in the form of Stock Options (ISOs) for eligible roles. For salaried positions, a salary offer will be determined by a number of factors including experience, skill level, internal pay equity, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations.
