We started Amber Labs in 2020. Our founders, Sebastien Payet, James Bennett, and Chris Gray, built the company as a partnership of consultants and technologists. We specialize in data engineering, cloud, analytics, digital, and AI transformation, helping clients get value from their data. Our approaches reduce risk and delivery time, backed by continuous R&D.

We offer 360 Consulting for end-to-end solutions, Elastic Teams that scale to your needs, and a Recruit-to-hire approach to fill skills gaps. Our enterprise clients come from sectors like the public sector, central government, defense, construction, transport, financial services, and oil & gas.

We use digital, AI, and automation technologies. Our Amber Labs Delivery Methodology (ADM) is built on Agile principles. We’ve guided the design and development of scalable backend services for major UK public sector bodies, supported retail clients in e-commerce platform redesigns, developed modern outbound notification platforms for public sector organizations, and led engineering teams on government programs involving complex microservice architectures. We use cloud-native solutions with Microsoft Azure and AWS, Java for development, and focus on secure APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure validation using tools like Terraform or Bicep.

When we founded Amber Labs, we wanted to build a consultancy that delivers excellent results for our customers and offers a great place to work.
