The Role

As the Senior Product Manager for Real Time Personalization, you will be the driving force behind our Real-time business, including managing the Trigger Activation and Web Personalization offerings. You will take full ownership of the product life cycle - from defining the product vision, creating the roadmap, working with Engineering and our Product Design team to define your products, ensuring a successful launch, and ensuring your products’ long-term growth. Your role is to ensure that our technology doesn’t just work, but that it delivers clear business value and solves real-world challenges facing modern brands in the AI era.

You will act as an advocate for the customer, translating their feedback and pain points into clear goals for our engineering and design teams. Beyond the technical build, you will lead the charge in getting internal teams - from sales and marketing to executive leadership - aligned and excited about the product direction. By balancing a deep understanding of the competitive landscape with a passion for user experience, you will help our clients turn real-time data into meaningful customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • Product Ownership & Vision: Evolve product strategy across the Real Time product portfolio to ensure market leadership. You own the roadmap from inception to launch, tracking market adoption and revenue growth to ensure high business impact.
  • Customer Advocacy & Presence: Be “customer-obsessed” by conducting deep discovery and research to summarize customer pain points. You are the primary voice ensuring that our products address the realities of millisecond response times across our marketing, customer service, and sales stacks.
  • Translation & Requirement Engineering: Translate nuanced customer input and market signals into rigorous requirements for engineering. You will work with developers on high-throughput, low-latency products who use a combination of AI and manual coding.
  • Ability to Influence: Act as a central hub to gain agreement from Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success. You will provide the clarity, training, and tools that go-to-market teams need to address customer questions.
  • Business Acumen & Competitive Analysis: Identify opportunities for market expansion by uncovering new use cases and integration patterns. You will maintain an understanding of the market to ensure our real-time website and mobile personalization tools remain industry-leading.
  • Technical Design & UX: Partner with Product Design to develop intuitive conceptual models and workflows for technical audiences. You will balance operational data needs with dynamic, marketer-facing experiences.

  • Real-time website and mobile personalization: Streaming events that change a customer’s profiles and segments and respond in milliseconds
  • Trigger Activation - Cart abandonment, re-targeting, and re-engagement: Streaming events that trigger an action from downstream systems like messaging.
  • Blend Historical & Streaming Data: Designing systems for cross-timeframe decisioning that allow brands to act on immediate signals using deep historical context.
  • Enterprise Scale: Build high-throughput pipelines that handle cart abandonment, re-targeting, and re-engagement at a massive scale.
  • Data Quality: Ensuring real-time data validation and monitoring so that personalization is always based on accurate, enterprise-grade information.

About You

  • Experience: 8+ years in Product Management, with 3–5 years specifically building marketing and real-time tools. You have experience managing enterprise SaaS products through the full lifecycle.
  • Technical Fluency: Familiarity with real-time event streaming technologies and distributed systems concepts. You are familiar with real-time segmentation and/or trigger email and/or web personalization stacks. You have meaningful experience contributing to public or partner-facing APIs.
  • Strategic Communicator: You can distill complex technical concepts into compelling narratives for everyone from engineers to C-suite executives.
  • Adaptability: You excel in environments with technical complexity and evolving requirements.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Experience working with event instrumentation teams, analytics engineers, and field leaders to guide product success.

Seattle, WA

Our hybrid work model includes three days in the office each week, providing a mix of in-person collaboration and remote flexibility

Compensation

Base Salary:  $170,000-$230,000. Within our pay range, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training.

Cash Incentives: Cash incentives are also available.

Stock Options: The opportunity for ownership is an exciting part of Amperity’s total compensation package. Every employee at Amperity receives a new-hire equity grant, commensurate with the scope of their position.
