Athletes Unlimited is looking for a Coordinator, Impact to fulfill operational tasks and provide administrative support across existing and future activities related to AU’s social impact and civic leadership work. This includes but is not limited to athlete engagement, Athlete Causes, sustainability and youth/community engagement efforts across all AU leagues (Basketball, Athletes Unlimited Softball League, and Volleyball). This position is full-time and reports to the Senior Manager, Impact.
Responsibilities
Athlete Causes - Managing inbox and onboarding process for partners across leagues; leading communications with partners on season-related updates and details
Becoming Unlimited - Managing submissions, coordinating prizes with internal teams, outreach to potential and future winners
Power In My Voice - Collecting and copyediting athlete submissions, updating Bookshop.org storefront for each league
Impact Weeks - Assist in brainstorming, planning and execution of athlete and in-game programming and activations
Impact Social Content - Managing and updating affinity calendar and tracking Impact-related social content across platforms
Civic Leadership Award & Impact Award - Leading outreach to athlete nominees, scheduling support, deck creation, etc.
Athlete Community Engagement & Volunteering - Assist with planning and execution of athlete community engagement and volunteering, including youth clinics and others, providing onsite support as needed
Community Support Requests - Lead on processing requests from external stakeholder community groups for goods/tickets
Reporting - Creating engaging reports in Canva, showcasing the department’s work
Sustainability - Assist with planning and execution of sustainability-related activities and tracking across all leagues & teams
Athlete Engagement - Disseminate information and manage programs related to athletes’ off-field career development
Athlete Governance - assist in organizing, developing materials, and communications for Player Executive Committee and other athletes governance-related matters
0-3 years of professional experience, with a preference for prior work in sports and/or social impact
Strong knowledge of Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides a must; Canva skills preferred
Strong organizational, project management skills a must
Passion for sports, social impact, equity, and community-driven programming/work
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Comfort communicating with internal and external stakeholders
Travel to league locations, approximately 10-20% of the year
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours related to community engagement efforts as needed
Legal authorization to work in the United States
This role is full-time, remote and is compensated at a range of $45,000 - $50,000 annually. While this is the intended range, the actual compensation may vary based on several factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, and geographic location of the position. We anticipate the highest end of the range will be reserved for those who exceed the hiring committee’s expectations on all measures of the evaluation process.
