About Bedrock Energy

We develop autonomous drilling technology and advanced subsurface simulation software. Our goal is to make widespread, affordable, and accessible geothermal heating and cooling systems for buildings possible. Incorporated in 2022, we focus on building electrification and geothermal energy, applying technology and R&D to drilling, software modeling, and industrial automation.

Our technology makes geothermal borehole fields affordable, fast, and space-efficient to install. Geothermal systems use ground-source heat pumps, tapping into the stable temperature of the earth to provide up to 80% of a building’s heating and cooling. These systems are highly efficient, often saving over 50% on annual energy and maintenance costs compared to traditional HVAC. They also operate without bulky rooftop towers, noisy condensers, piped refrigerants, or indoor air pollution.

We offer services, including designing geo loop fields using data algorithms, drilling boreholes with an intelligent drilling platform to achieve faster construction times, and delivering full projects. This can involve MEP design, energy financing, and working with construction partners. We work with developers, owners, and builders.

We have raised $22M in Seed and Series A capital from investors such as Titanium Ventures, Energy Impact Partners, and Wireframe Ventures. Our work has been featured in TechCrunch, Canary Media, and Axios.
