We are a project with OpenLabs that develops products for progressive organizations. We assist campaigns in making strategic decisions by providing accurate measurement. Our work addresses fundamental problems within the polling industry by applying machine learning and Bayesian statistics. We offer rapid turnaround testing guidance to communications professionals on messaging effectiveness for key issues. We also answer critical questions for campaigns and progressive organizations about resource allocation, messaging, and audience targeting. Our work includes high-dimensional Bayesian modeling for inferences from polling data and building data and analytics infrastructure for the progressive left. We develop AI systems using generative AI and hierarchical modeling for causal inference, predictive analytics, and rapid messaging decisions. This involves connecting large language model (LLM) applications with robust modeling pipelines to analyze message effectiveness and persuasion. Additionally, we are involved in strategic messaging, political outreach, media strategy, and managing day-to-day external communications for progressive stakeholders. Our operational efforts include core business operations, financial planning, and organizational processes to support progressive campaigns.

Our research supports both short-term and long-term strategy. The name “Blue Rose” symbolizes turning red areas blue. Our logo encourages questioning core assumptions and embracing adaptation. Our team is dedicated to empowering progressive campaigns and contributing to the public good.

We have a team of over 40 software engineers, machine learning engineers, and social scientists. Our team includes experienced engineers, PhD data scientists, and political insiders connected to decision-makers within the progressive space. Team members have experience developing strategy and directing resources over several electoral cycles. We operate with a supportive, mission-driven culture that values curiosity and collaboration. We are a remote-first company, with physical offices and regular meetups in New York City and Washington, D.C. Our work primarily aligns with East Coast time zones.
