Grocery delivery is a complex, fast-evolving space where commercial strategy, operational execution and system integrations must work together seamlessly. We are looking for a Business Development Manager who can connect those dots and help shape how millions of people get their groceries delivered in Romania.
You will build high-impact partnerships with major grocery retailers - driving growth, accelerating performance and ensuring the experience remains reliable and scalable across a large footprint.

This is not a classic Business Development Manager role focused only on signing and onboarding. Grocery is one of Bolt Foodβs most complex verticals, where commercial success depends on integrations, catalog accuracy, stock availability and store operations working smoothly together.
You will build and grow strategic partnerships with national grocery retailers, while also guiding them through the technical and operational requirements that drive performance at scale - ensuring the experience is strong for customers and efficient for partners.
You will work closely with Product, Tech and Operations teams to solve challenges quickly, make improvements that last and help shape how Bolt Food continues to grow the grocery business in Romania.
Own and grow strategic partnerships with national grocery retailers -building trust and long-term collaboration. Turn commercial goals into scalable execution: expansion, assortment improvements, operational consistency. Lead technical enablement discussions: catalog structure, stock logic, substitutions, operational flows and integrations (API/SFTP). Monitor key KPIs across stores - GMV, availability, preparation times, refunds -and act fast on root causes to keep quality high. Work with Product, Tech and Ops to translate partner needs into product and process improvements that scale. Ensure strong partner visibility and customer experience improvements that drive loyalty and growth.
4 - 7 years of experience in e-commerce, digital grocery, retail, delivery, marketplace operations or similar environments. Experience managing strategic partnerships with large retailers, with strong communication and negotiation skills at senior level. Ability to work confidently across commercial and technical topics (API/system logic, retail IT collaboration). Analytical and data-driven approach to optimizing performance and business outcomes. Ownership and initiative -proactive problem-solving in fast-changing, high-pressure environments. Effective cross-functional collaboration with Product, Tech and Operations to deliver scalable impact.
