We’re looking for a senior legal/compliance professional to be part of our Commerce Compliance team. In this role you would be taking proactive global ownership of regulatory compliance of Bolt’s payments platform, ensuring second line compliance across EEA, and alignment with financial services licensing regulation in our 45+ countries globally.

This is a hands-on role for a knowledgeable legal expert to manage compliance projects, external counsels and internal stakeholders. As part of Bolt’s payments team you would be providing strategic and daily support to the whole company from a financial services regulation point of view.
Identifying and implementing financial services regulatory compliance and licensing requirements across EEA and elsewhere, in 45+ countries. Validating compliance of business and product changes and expansions. Managing daily communication with external counsels, internal legal and other stakeholders. Driving daily compliance management to reduce compliance gaps - leading the company towards compliant and scalable solutions, providing support with compliance requirements implementation etc. Support in relations with competent authorities and payment service providers. Ensuring the monitoring of regulatory developments to stay ahead of the curve.
Legal qualification, master’s degree in law. 5+ years of experience in the regulatory environment, law firm or an international company. Solid understanding of financial services regulation. Preferably specifically regarding payment services and e-money, or in other financial regulatory, fintech fields. Strong logical thinking and research skills, proven experience in project and stakeholder management and an ambition to constantly improve. Excellent writing and presentation skills and ability to digest legalese to business stakeholders. Ability to work independently, to handle a fast-paced work environment, agility, and readiness to switch priorities in a flash.
