We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Payments UX team. Your team will shape how millions of users experience payments across Bolt, from Rider and Driver apps to Food, Courier, and Business platforms. By driving consistency and quality across all products and building a unified payments UX platform, you will play a key role in building a unified payments UX platform and making payments seamless, intuitive, and trustworthy at scale.

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a multi-platform engineering team covering mobile (iOS, Android, React Native), web, and backend, while staying close to architecture and key technical decisions. Your team will define how payment flows are built and integrated across Bolt, creating scalable solutions that work seamlessly across platforms and use cases. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams across multiple verticals to align on a unified approach and ensure consistent, high-quality payment experiences.
Leading and growing talented Software Engineers specialising in backend, web, and mobile platforms, building and operating systems where failures have real user and operational impact. Defining and driving the team roadmap together with Product. Creating a team setup that enables predictable delivery, good engineering quality, and healthy collaboration. Driving individual 1-1s to mentor and coach Software Engineers to develop skills and uncover their potential. Communicating context and decisions clearly to engineers, stakeholders, and leadership.
You have 5+ years of hands-on software development experience and you’re comfortable staying hands-on with coding and technical decisions when needed. You have experience owning a product or platform area end-to-end, not just individual projects. You’ve led high-performing engineering teams and bring strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of hiring, growing, and retaining talent. You’re able to balance execution with long-term vision, set up effective engineering processes, and make data-driven decisions. You have strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, working effectively across teams. Nice to have: experience in payments/fintech; experience building platforms, SDKs, or reusable components.
