We are looking for a Global Merchant Operations Manager to join Bolt Food’s Merchant Operations team. This role is focused on driving performance improvements across markets in Europe and Africa by working collaboratively with both local and HQ teams to meet delivery objectives.

The Merchant Team brings together Sales, Merchant Success, Commercial Enablement, Enterprise Partnerships, and Merchant Operations.
As Global Merchant Operations Manager, you will play a key role in shaping Bolt Food’s Merchant Operations function in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. We are looking for someone proactive, data-driven, and highly structured in their approach to problem-solving. Strong attention to detail, excellent prioritization skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively are essential for success in this role.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with HQ teams (Sales, Account Management, Operations, Product, Marketing, Compliance, Procurement) and local Merchant Operations teams to resolve complex operational challenges. Vendor Management: Managing and directing a large external workforce of +50 contractors across 15 countries and languages. Scaling and Workflow Improvement: Review current processes and SOPs, design scalable workflows, and streamline team efficiency. Centralize, automate, and standardize lower-value tasks to enable local teams to focus on high-impact activities. App Curation & Photography: Research and deploy best-in-class solutions to enhance in-app content and photography quality, driving higher user conversion rates. Ownership of Merchant Metrics: Take responsibility for improving key operational metrics like photo coverage, image quality, menu-to-checkout conversion, onboarding and activation speed, and team efficiency. Deploy solutions globally to boost performance. Performance Management: Monitor and optimize key performance metrics (efficiency, productivity, timing) for Merchant Operations teams worldwide to ensure scalability and effectiveness.
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Operations, or a related field. You have experience in Operations, Marketplaces, High-Growth Startups, or similar fields. You have strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to use data to make informed decisions. You have excellent organizational and project management capabilities, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and projects effectively. You have strong communication and writing skills in English. You are willing to travel across Europe and Africa and relocate to Estonia.
