Job Description
We are looking for a Store Operations Manager to drive operational excellence across our Grocery & Retail merchants, ensuring consistent, high-quality execution and a seamless customer experience.
With over 200 million customers in 50+ countries, Bolt is one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe and Africa. And it’s all thanks to our people.
We believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
Our ultimate goal is to make cities for people, not cars, and we need your help to achieve this mission!
As a Store Operations Manager, you will define and standardize how stores operate on the platform—from store hours and holiday readiness to customer support and refund processes—building clear guidelines and scalable SOPs that address common operational challenges and improve overall performance.
Define and implement robust store guidelines—including holiday readiness and refund protocols—to ensure a unified brand experience. Design and scale Standard Operating Procedures to tackle critical merchant challenges such as order discrepancies and product defect rates. Lead the migration of store operations to Salesforce and optimize the outsourcing of high-volume tasks like onboarding and maintenance. Own the end-to-end tracking of merchant KPIs, diagnosing root causes of friction and executing data-driven improvements. Act as the ultimate point of contact for complex operational hurdles, coordinating with external partners for swift resolution. Serve as the subject matter expert for regional teams and top-tier partners, handling high-touch tasks such as custom invoicing and lifecycle communications.
You have solid experience in Strategy Operations, Business Operations, or a high-growth marketplace environment. You also have exceptional problem-solving skills with a deep-seated habit of using data to drive decisions and optimise complex workflows. You hold the ability to juggle multiple mission-critical workstreams, maintaining meticulous organisation under tight deadlines. You are a super user of Excel/Google Sheets and proficiency in Python or SQL is highly preferred to navigate our data-intensive landscape. You have experience in building Go-to-Market (GTM) materials, operational playbooks, and merchant enablement content. You also have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse internal teams and foster collaboration across different time zones.
Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying!
Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities. Enjoy a rewarding salary and stock options, knowing that as Bolt succeeds, so do you. Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks. Celebrate 5 years at Bolt with a 1-month paid sabbatical to recharge. Connect with colleagues at annual company events and smaller team gatherings. Balance flexibility and in-person collaboration with our hybrid model, including at least 12 monthly in-office days.
