Founded by MIT and Stanford alumni, we have grown to over 10,000 paying users and earned adoption at 17 of Japanβs top 20 law firms, mostly through organic word of mouth and product excellence, achieving profitability without external funding until December 2024.
Why BoostDraft needs you:
Following our massive success in Japan, we are rapidly expanding our global footprint. We are seeking a Regional Business Development Representative (APAC) to spearhead our growth across key APAC markets, with a strategic focus on Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.
While we have an established sales organization in Japan, you will be the first dedicated Regional Business Development Representative for the broader APAC region. You will have the unique opportunity to build our presence from the ground up, leveraging your deep understanding of the legal sector to drive new business in these critical markets.
Reporting Line:
Korea Country Manager
Targeted Prospects:
Top-tier and mid-sized law firms (global and local), in-house legal teams at large enterprises, and government/legal institutions across key APAC markets (e.g., Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia).
What you will do:
Strategic Lead Generation:
- Identify, prospect, and build a robust pipeline of law firms and corporate legal departments across Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.
- Independently source and build pipeline across target markets.
- Leverage networks, industry relationships and targeted outbound strategies to engage decision-makers.
Client Engagement and Conversion:
- Initiate meaningful conversations with legal professionals and conduct highly effective product demonstrations.
- Lead consultative sales conversations with lawyers, diagnose workflow pain points, and demonstrate value in the context of real legal processes.
- Navigate decision-making structures within multi-stakeholder procurement processes.
Market Evangelism:
- Act as the face of BoostDraft in the APAC legal community (events, conferences, referrals), building trust and understanding regional industry trends to articulate our unique value proposition.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with our global product and marketing teams to relay market feedback and ensure our sales strategies align with local market needs.
Who we’re looking for:
Legal Industry Expertise:
- You possess a strong background in the legal sector (e.g., former practicing lawyer, paralegal) OR a successful history of selling B2B SaaS solutions into the legal industry (LegalTech).
- Existing relationships and networks within the legal industry in key APAC markets are a strong advantage.
Proven Sales Acumen:
- You know how to identify decision makers, navigate complex organizational structures within law firms, and close deals.
Self Starter Mentality:
- You thrive in an autonomous, fast paced environment and are highly motivated to act quickly to move the business forward.
- Willingness to step beyond defined role boundaries in a startup environment.
Exceptional Communication:
- You can translate technical software benefits into tangible ROI for legal practitioners.
Why Join Us:
Pioneer a Region: Be the foundational pillar of our APAC sales efforts with immense potential for career growth as the team expands.
Elite Collaboration: Work alongside founders and top tier talent from world renowned organizations.
Global Environment: Join a highly diverse, international team where half of our members are based outside of Japan.
Autonomy: Enjoy a fully remote setup that provides the freedom to manage your operations and work life balance effectively.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years in B2B SaaS sales ( experience selling into law firms or in-house legal teams is strongly preferred) OR significant professional experience within a major law firm or corporate legal department with a strong desire to transition to a sales role.
Language:
Native or near native proficiency in English is mandatory. Fluency in additional APAC languages (such as Korean) is highly advantageous.
Location:
Remote within the APAC region (preference for candidates based in strategic hubs like Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, or Hong Kong).
