Where and how you can work
Canva has its roots in Australia with our flagship campus in Sydney. We also have a growing presence in the US, with offices in San Francisco, CA and Austin, TX.
Our preference is for the role to be based near the San Francisco offices. However, we will consider remote applicants within the US with a preference for California and Washington. We trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance of in-person and remote work that empowers them and their team to do their best work.
About the Group / Team
As Canva continues to scale, our Sales Compensation function plays a critical role in turning go-to-market strategy into performance outcomes. Incentives are one of our most powerful levers to drive the right sales behaviors, reward performance, and support sustainable revenue growth.
We design and govern scalable compensation programs that are simple, transparent, and trusted. As deal volume and complexity grow, we are focused on building strong foundations through clear plan design, robust controls, and smart automation to ensure our compensation programs scale seamlessly with the business.
About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join our Sales Compensation team and help evolve our end-to-end commission operations. You will support the strategy, governance, and execution of incentive programs across Sales, playing a key role in ensuring payouts are accurate, timely, and compliant.
This is a hands-on and highly collaborative role where you will strengthen automation, reinforce controls, simplify plan administration, and improve transparency as we continue to scale.
What You’ll Do
- Support the end-to-end commission cycle, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payouts while building trust across the sales organization
- Partner with Sales to operationalize compensation plans and SPIFF programs aligned to commercial priorities
- Enhance and optimize compensation systems, tooling, and processes to improve scalability, automation, and simplicity
- Strengthen governance through clear documentation and controls aligned with audit and compliance requirements
- Analyze compensation and performance data to generate insights and continuously improve incentive effectiveness
What We’re Looking For
- Expertise in Sales Compensation or Incentive Operations within high-growth SaaS or enterprise environments
- Hands-on experience with compensation systems such as Xactly, CaptivateIQ, Spiff, or similar, along with strong analytical capability in Excel or Google Sheets
- A solid understanding of sales plan design principles and how incentives influence behavior and performance
- A track record of building or improving scalable compensation processes with strong governance and controls in a global environment
- A clear communicator and collaborative partner who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-moving organization

The target salary range for this position is $180,000-$265,000. When calculating offers, we make salary decisions based on market data and candidates’ skills and experience.
