As an Account Manager at Caseware, you will build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with C-level customers, with a particular focus on the Government segment, by understanding their needs and delivering solutions that maximise value. You will drive customer success through proactive engagement, retention strategies, and growth initiatives, ensuring adoption of Caseware’s evolving suite of cloud solutions.

Key Performance Areas include:

· New & Additional Business (Upsell, Cross-sell, Migration)

· Customer Retention & Satisfaction

· Revenue Growth (Net of CPI)

· Account Coverage & Engagement

❗This is a Full-time permanent position

📍 This role is hybrid. The successful candidate will be working from the office and home. The Caseware Australia office is located at L4, 365 Little Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000

What you will be doing:

  • Relationship Management: Develop and nurture relationships across all levels within assigned accounts, focusing on maximising customer lifetime value.
  • Account Planning: Create and maintain strategic account plans for key customers, identifying growth opportunities and aligning solutions to business objectives.
  • Growth Activities: Execute upsell, cross-sell, and renewal strategies to increase ARR and product adoption, including migration to cloud solutions.
  • Customer Success: Proactively mitigate risks that could lead to dissatisfaction or churn; optimize product usage and address financial matters promptly.
  • Inbound & Outbound Engagement: Manage revenue-related inquiries (new licenses, renewals, product information) and drive outbound engagement for growth.
  • Market Feedback: Provide actionable insights from customers and prospects to inform product development and service enhancements.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Deliver accurate forecasts and participate in regular sales meetings to review performance and pipeline.
  • Industry Presence: Represent Caseware at relevant government and industry events to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities.
  • Presentation Excellence: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals, including professional PowerPoint decks tailored to client needs.

Team Commitments

  • Maintain confidentiality and data security in line with company policy.
  • Record all customer interactions in CRM (Salesforce experience highly regarded).
  • Collaborate with peers to achieve shared objectives.
  • Commit to continuous learning (minimum 48 hours professional development annually).
  • Enhance Caseware’s reputation by embracing innovation and adding value beyond core responsibilities.

Accounts

  • Accounts allocated based on expertise and strategic alignment with government, corporate and Firm segments.
  • Annual account review to optimise coverage and growth potential.
  • New inquiries and reactivated accounts assigned per experience and prior engagement history.
  • Dormant accounts released during annual review if inactive for 12 months.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 2–4 years in Account Management, Customer Success, or Inside Sales within a SaaS or technology environment
  • Exceptional presentation skills, including creating professional PowerPoint decks; consultative selling; strategic planning; and strong verbal and written communication
  • Solid understanding of audit and accounting processes, standards, and workflows; ability to engage confidently with finance and audit professionals
  • Knowledge of government procurement processes and compliance requirements (preferred)
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce highly regarded); ability to present solutions effectively to both business and technical stakeholders
  • Energised, proactive, and motivated to exceed targets; thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
