Are you an innovative and motivated Software Engineer with extensive experience in multiple technologies and platforms? Civica is eager to invite a dedicated professional like yourself to join our diverse and multicultural software team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in initiating new projects, maintaining and improving our existing codebase, as well as diagnosing, resolving, and testing issues in our current software applications.
What you will do:
- Analyse new requirements and provide impact analysis addressing technical design and identifying individual tasks.
- Provide estimates for tasks undertaken both in story points and time.
- Complete low-level design to create functionality to meet requirements.
- Conform to Civica’s Secure Software Development Lifecycle implementing security best practice.
- Develop and maintain code to a high standard.
- Develop software by using SOLID principles.
- Write efficient unit tests against the code.
- Write documentation as required.
- Comply with Civica’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve support issues.

- Must have minimum 1 years of relevant experience as Software Engineer role.
- Capability to participate actively in meetings and discussions.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Capability to apply lateral thinking to effectively resolve problems.
- Capable of reliably meeting deadlines with confidence and efficiency.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with team members from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Proven history of consistently meeting deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Preferred skills
- C#.Net Core Web API
- Angular 15+ or above
- JavaScript / jQuery, TypeScript
- HTML, CSS
- Database (SQL Server) and Entity Framework
- Web API/ WCF/ Web Services
- Front-end Unit Testing framework (Jasmine/ Karma/ Jest)
- Unit Testing with .Net (XUnit/ NUnit/ MSTest)
- Playwright
- Azure DevOps,Github (Boards, Git)
