The People Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the effective delivery of core people operations across the employee lifecycle. This role provides high-quality administrative and generalist support, ensures data integrity and compliance, and contributes to both local and global People initiatives and projects.
This role sits at the heart of Civica’s People Operations function and provides exposure across the full employee lifecycle in a complex, multi-jurisdictional organisation. It delivers meaningful involvement in people processes that directly support employees, leaders, and the broader business.
The People Operations Coordinator works in a collaborative, professional environment where accuracy, responsiveness, and integrity are valued. The role offers structured development within a global People function, involvement in process improvement and projects, and the opportunity to build strong foundations in HR operations while contributing to work that supports public services and communities.
What you’ll do to be successful in the role
- Experience in a corporate HR, People Operations, or related role
- Proven experience providing high-quality administrative or generalist people support
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and compliance
- Demonstrated experience maintaining HRIS records and employee data integrity
- Sound understanding of employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding and offboarding
- Ability to support employee movements such as promotions, transfers, and employment changes
- Knowledge of, or exposure to, Australian employment legislation and awards
- Understanding of workplace health and safety principles and incident management processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
- Organised, reliable, and capable of managing competing priorities
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support local and global People initiatives
- Analytical capability with experience preparing or supporting HR reporting
