We started as Resistance Labs and now operate as Movement Labs, an incubator and consulting firm for political organizations. We use technology, data, and experiments to support progressive change.

We partner with advocacy groups, grassroots organizers, and electoral campaigns to develop tactics and influence elections, helping build progressive power. We conduct randomized control trials (RCTs) on voter behavior, completing over 100 to date.

Our “Contest Every Race” program recruits Democrats to run for local office. We’ve recruited over 11,800 individuals, achieving a 43% win rate, to make Democrats more competitive in local elections.

We’ve received competitive funding from New Media Ventures twice and the Analyst Institute’s “Expy” award twice for our experimental work in progressive politics. We also serve as an R&D hub for the progressive movement.
