About Clever Inc.
We were founded in 2012 as a software development company. We provide an identity platform for education, making digital learning easier to access and more engaging. Our platform gives schools and applications a secure place for teachers and students to log in, managing identities and controlling data while supporting classroom learning. We centralize all the data and accounts needed for digital learning.
More than 111,000 schools, including 95 of the largest 100 districts, use our platform. Approximately 77% of U.S. K-12 schools use Clever, and 60% of US students log in with Clever every month. We offer a free platform for schools.
We have offices in San Francisco, CA, and Durham, NC. We also have a remote-friendly workplace model across the continental U.S. and Hawaii. We offer standard and premium support options. All school districts get free support, including phone and web support Monday-Friday from 7 AM-8 PM ET, and 24⁄7 access to our help center and Clever Academy. Premium Support adds services like 24⁄7 emergency support for critical issues, dedicated case management, and a 3-hour response time for initial replies.
We’ve partnered with Kahoot! to integrate learning platforms. We also publish reports like the “Classroom of the Future Report 2025” and are expanding internationally, focusing on Australia and various regions in Asia.
