What you’ll work on:

• Design and prototype how AI capabilities are integrated into CloudTalk’s products, considering model limitations, latency, cost, and reliability.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define and ship new AI-powered features for voice and conversation intelligence.
• Research and evaluate new AI models, tools, and architectures to determine the best approach for real-world use cases.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate new ideas before production implementation.
• Implement selected solutions into production systems or work closely with engineers to bring them into production.
• Evaluate and benchmark LLMs and speech models to guide technical decisions and product direction.
• Design and implement automated evaluation pipelines to shorten the feedback loop between research and production
• Improve existing AI capabilities through experimentation, prompt design, and system-level optimizations.
• Maintain a deep understanding of how CloudTalk’s systems work in order to design reliable AI integrations.
• Advocate for best practices in building, testing, and operating AI systems.
• Stay up to date with new developments in AI and continuously assess their potential impact on our products.

What makes you a great fit:

• Experience working with AI systems, especially LLM-based or speech-based applications.
• Ability to design practical AI solutions while understanding the limitations of current models.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Comfortable experimenting with new models, tools, and AI techniques.
• Experience evaluating models and making technical decisions based on real-world trade-offs (quality, cost, latency, reliability).
• Ability to prototype quickly and translate ideas into working solutions.
• Experience collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.
• Basic understanding of how modern AI models (LLMs, speech models) work and how to apply them effectively.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze large datasets to evaluate model performance, identify patterns in edge cases, and guide improvements to AI features
• Understanding of statistics and experimentation, enabling you to design rigorous evaluations and move beyond intuition-based comparisons toward statistically meaningful benchmarks
• Knowledge of  at least one programming language such as Python or Go is a plus.
• Interest in modern AI development workflows, including AI-assisted coding tools.

• LLM APIs and prompt engineering techniques
• Speech models (ASR / TTS)
• Model evaluation and benchmarking workflows
• AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Cursor, etc.)
