About College Track

College Track is a comprehensive college completion program, established in 1997. Our 10-year integrated program helps students overcome obstacles on their path to earning a bachelor’s degree and securing a meaningful career. We support students from ninth grade through college graduation by providing academic, financial, and personalized assistance.

We started with 25 students in East Palo Alto and have since expanded to thirteen centers across California, Colorado, Louisiana, and the D.C. Metro Area. We currently serve 4,052 scholars and support 1,388 alumni. Our scholars graduate from college at a rate two and a half times the national average for first-generation college students from low-income communities. Among recent graduates, 89% are employed full-time or enrolled in graduate school, and one in three completes college without debt.

Our program’s specialties include academic readiness, college application support, financial and college advising, leadership training, ACT preparation, and community service.

Mission & Values

Our mission is to ensure every student earns a four-year college degree and achieves a life of opportunity, choice, purpose, and power. We are committed to democratizing potential by addressing challenges that limit opportunities and empowering students toward self-determination. We aim to create a world that recognizes and values every student’s unique talents, skills, and potential.

Our core values are Commitment, Passion, Joy, Authenticity, and Excellence:

  • Commitment: We believe unwaveringly in our students’ ability to succeed in college and equip them accordingly.
  • Passion: We are dedicated to improving college completion rates and building communities where every student has the chance to earn a four-year college degree.
  • Joy: We cultivate environments rich with positive experiences, believing that hard work and joy are compatible and inspire personal and communal well-being.
  • Authenticity: We value honest communication, strong relationships, and a familial spirit, emphasizing that differences contribute to success.
