We started in 1985 as a national nonprofit dedicated to improving economic mobility for underrepresented students. We help students find financial solutions for various postsecondary paths. Our work focuses on financial aid advising, college affordability, and FAFSA completion.

Our services include:

• Advising: We offer in-person and virtual support to high school and college students, helping them access financial aid and navigate postsecondary systems.
• Training: We train counselors and program staff, giving them financial aid knowledge and student-centered resources.
• Policy: We advocate for federal, state, and institutional policy changes to improve financial aid and higher education systems, using student experiences to guide our work.
• Consulting: We create custom solutions for partners, using our financial aid expertise, advising experience, and student-centered research.

We also offer free resources, such as our “Launching Affordable Futures: Early College & Financial Aid Readiness” workshop series for middle and high school students, and free virtual financial aid events for students and families.
