About One Million Degrees

We advance economic mobility for community college students. We design, develop, and maintain curriculum for our scholar and apprentice programs. We focus on interactive, learner-centered experiences delivered through a Learning Management System (LMS).

Our Scholar Support Model embeds Program Coordinators at partner college sites. Each coordinator manages up to 75 Scholars, coordinating student engagement, data collection, curriculum delivery, and recruitment. We provide high-touch, data-informed support to help students achieve academic, personal, and professional goals within three years. We serve non-traditional student populations, including adult learners and part-time attendees.

Beyond direct student support, our Advisory and Capacity Building (ACB) division leads consulting projects with community colleges, K-12 districts, and intermediaries. We offer four service areas: community college completion, transfer, dual enrollment, and career transitions. Our goal is to expand sustainable programming and improve outcomes for low-income, first-generation, and students of color.

We also manage fundraising strategies, including traditional philanthropy and fee-for-service partnerships. We cultivate major gifts and oversee event planning and donor stewardship. We use data-driven approaches, including Salesforce, for our operations and to plan for local and national expansion. Our marketing and communications efforts focus on elevating our storytelling and brand strategy to increase awareness and support.
