About The Role
Launched in 2019, Constructor is an AI-first ecommerce search and discovery platform that helps shoppers find the right products at the right time and enables leading global e-commerce brands to drive meaningful revenue and conversion gains.
As Engineering Manager on the Recommendations team, you will work to build the best recommendations-as-a-service product on the market, improving the e-commerce experience for hundreds of millions of users across the world.
You will:
Own the quality and impact of our recommendations, driving improvements in key business metrics — making sure we bring maximum value to our customers and crush every competitor on our way
Lead and grow the team through hiring, coaching, and creating an environment where engineers can do their best work
Set direction for the team and translate product goals into a clear, executable engineering plan
Ensure the system is reliable, scalable, and meets strict SLAs
5+ years of experience in applied machine learning, including at least 2 years leading engineering teams
Strong understanding of machine learning and deep learning
Proficiency in Python, experience working with cloud infrastructure, SQL, and at least one DL framework
Solid engineering fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, system design, APIs
Experience setting technical direction and translating product goals into clear, actionable plans
Experience hiring and growing engineers in growing teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Comfortable joining meetings between 11:00–17:00 UTC

💵 Base salary: $90k–$130k USD, depending on knowledge, skills, experience, and interview results
