JOB SUMMARY
As we scale into new markets and deepen our presence in key states, we’re strengthening our field marketing structure with the addition of a Field Marketing Specialist (FMS). In this role, you will bridge the gap between execution and impact. The FMS role is designed to enhance in-store performance, Paid Media ROI, and team management in our core market of Ohio. This position will be both in accounts, building strong relationships, and working remotely to push broader marketing efforts in the state. This role will be responsible for BFR management, KPI refinement, and cross-functional alignment.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Ability to lead and coach Brand Field Representatives, manage account support plans, and conduct field rides
- Oversee BFR’s capture of several marketing execution metrics: ISA’s, GWPs, digital menus, merchandising displays, budtender trainings, and capturing photos for Repsly input
- Create meaningful Monthly Recaps with unique market insight shared with sales, brand, and field leads
- Drives consistency and high-quality execution of in-store and out-of-store activations
- Aggregate and analyze KPI data to identify trends by rep, market, and account
- Enforce territory support planning in your market(s) by activity and account tier, and type
- Partner with RMD, RMM, and Paid Media vendors to connect advertising investment to key retailers’ in-store outcomes (menu presence, sell-through, and revenue results)
- Identify high-performing retail locations for future investment and retail media pilots
- Situational flexibility, to decide when your time is best spent in the market executing or in remote office, measuring best impact
- Contribute to After Action Reviews (AARs), regional dashboards, and Quarterly Region leadership Review meetings
- Share knowledge of wholesale retail ecosystems and competitor activity
- Provide retailer-level feedback loops to inform optimized programming, competitive activity, and pricing/promotion shifts
- Align with Sales, Trade, and Brand to support a holistic retail strategy
- Be an expert in state cannabis regulations
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Complete all administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain proper records for all expense reports with receipts, and ensure they are completed on time
- Ensure BFRs submit timely and complete expense reports, field reports via Repsly, and Monthly Market recaps
- Manage storage units, inventory tracking, and distribution of field materials and trade assets
- Support onboarding and training of new BFRs within the assigned regions
- Maintain compliance with company SOPs, HR guidelines, and state-level regulatory requirements
- Support internal audit readiness for KPI tracking by maintaining clean documentation of field activities
- Participate in region field team meetings and cross-functional check-ins with Sales, Brand, and Paid Media teams.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 4-6 years’ related industry or marketing experience.
- Local travel ~50-70% including occasional nights and weekends.
- Knowledge of cannabis, trends, and industry preferred
- Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills – including the ability to listen and identify opportunities to drive increased loyalty.
- Ability to coordinate efforts with distributor personnel including orders, delivery and merchandising support.
- Candidates must be familiar with on/off premise marketing initiatives.
- Familiarity with local market trendsetting accounts.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
- Skilled at multitasking with and ability to meet deadlines.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

In accordance with any local and state compensation laws, the compensation listed is the current estimated range for the position. Final offer details and future compensation may be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to, geographic location, market compensation data, skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Pay Range
$65,000—$75,000 USD
