Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, monitoring).

  • Operate and oversee VMware ESXi hosts and virtual machine infrastructure.

  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, user/group management, permissions.

  • Monitor server health, performance, capacity; respond to alerts, diagnose and resolve incidents.

  • Work with backup/recovery solutions, disaster recovery procedures.

  • Assist in configuration, management and troubleshooting of infrastructure services (including storage, networking basics, virtualisation platforms).

  • Collaborate with service desk, escalation tiers to ensure smooth incident/problem/service request resolution.

  • Participate in remote support across clients, ensuring SLA compliance and high customer satisfaction.

  • Document infrastructure, changes, run books, and contribute to standard operating procedures.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement: automation, tooling, monitoring enhancements, standardisation.

  • Proven experience (3-5+ years) in infrastructure support / systems administration roles focusing on Windows Servers and virtualisation (VMware ESXi or similar).

  • Experience with server monitoring tools, alerting and incident response.

  • Ability to operate in managed services context: device-based service model, multiple client environments, standardised processes, documentation.

  • Self-starter mindset, good organisational skills, ability to prioritise and manage workload.

  • Good problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

  • Experienced working in multinational teams, i.e. sensitive of cultural differences and adaptable

  • Fluency in English and German (spoken and written)

  • Candidates have to declare Criminal record extract not older than three months
