Commercial Finance Manager

Lead commercial performance across a growing operational business

As Commercial Finance Manager, you will lead a team of four Analysts and own financial performance, planning and commercial decision support across a key operational portfolio.
This is a role for an established finance manager with proven people-leadership experience, strong commercial judgement and the confidence to partner with senior operational and sales leaders. You will use financial insight to improve performance, challenge assumptions and turn plans into measurable outcomes.
The opportunity
You will lead and develop a capable Commercial Finance team while working closely with leaders across operations and sales. Your focus will be on translating financial and operational data into practical actions that improve profitability, productivity, pricing and sustainable growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-moving, multi-site environment. You will be comfortable moving between coaching your team, reviewing a detailed P&L, building a business case and presenting clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Regular travel to Daniels Health sites across the US will help you build strong relationships with operational teams and develop a first-hand understanding of the drivers behind business performance.
What you’ll lead
- Lead, coach and develop a team of four Commercial Finance Analysts, building a high-performing, accountable and commercially focused culture.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, P&L reporting and variance analysis for your operational portfolio.
- Partner with Operations and Sales leaders to identify performance drivers, manage risks and deliver practical improvement initiatives.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, investment cases and scenario plans to support growth and operational decision-making.
- Create clear KPIs, dashboards and reporting that give leaders visibility of financial and operational performance.
- Drive initiatives to improve margin, productivity, labor efficiency, overheads and working capital.
- Support pricing, profitability analysis, customer and contract decisions, and commercial negotiations.
- Maintain strong financial controls, support compliance requirements and contribute to audit and risk-management activity.
- Travel to Daniels Health sites nationally to review performance, strengthen partnerships and share best practice.
What you’ll bring
You are an established Commercial Finance Manager, Finance Business Partner or FP&A leader with a track record of leading teams and influencing decisions in a complex operational business.
You will bring:
- Proven, direct people-management experience, including coaching, developing and performance-managing finance professionals.
- Experience in a complex operational, service, logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, industrial or multi-site environment.
- Strong commercial finance, FP&A or finance business-partnering experience, including forecasting, budgeting, financial modelling and P&L ownership.
- The ability to partner effectively with senior non-finance leaders and constructively challenge decisions.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to connect financial performance with operational activity, customer outcomes and business priorities.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to turn complex analysis into practical, action-oriented recommendations.
- A hands-on leadership style, comfortable balancing strategic priorities, team leadership and detailed analysis.
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline; an MBA or professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CMA or CA is preferred.

$135,649 - $164,379 a year
“The pay range for this position is $135,649 o $164,379 base salary plus bonus opportunity. Actual compensation within this range will depend on factors unique to each candidate, such as prior experience, skill, certifications, and work location. Pay variations by location reflect local conditions and differences in the cost of labor.
