Job title: Transaction Management Analyst
Location: Kuala Lumpur
Job summary:
We are looking to recruit an experienced team member with experience in structured products, derivatives or securities issuance. This role within Delta Capita’s Structured Product Managed Services Group will be within the Transaction Services division. The team support Tier 1 investment banks in their issuance of cross-asset structured products.
An integral part of the role involves working closely alongside the front office and support departments, in particular Structuring, Trading, Sales, Legal, Compliance, Trade Management and Operations. The role will cover a range of Transaction Management related functions, and the successful candidate will:
Possess an adequate technical understanding of the financial markets, and the products and asset classes, along with a general familiarity with the financial services sector;
Have strong analysis skills and demonstrate a problem-solving ability;
Show an aptitude to building working relationships with clients and colleagues at various levels of seniority and backgrounds, in a deadline focussed and demanding environment;
Demonstrate the ability to prioritise workload appropriately during busy periods, working to meet hard deadlines; and
Have prior experience in co-ordinating projects involving various internal or external parties.
Roles and responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities in support of our Client’s business:
Provide new issuance support process to provide transaction support to the structured products business (Booking, Documentation, Public Offer / Listing rules, Settlement, Secondary Market, SPV interaction, Paying Agent rules);
Engage internal (within the client) stakeholders to ensure tasks required to support the issuance of structured notes are complete
Review and validate termsheet documentation against the booking system
Coordinate review and approval of transaction documentation by Trading, Sales & Structuring;
Coordinate any bookings or amendments (additional sales, change in issue size etc);
Ensure systems are kept up to date with latest versions of Termsheets / Legal Docs;
Support other processes linked to the issuance of structured notes, such as e.g.arrange for product to be set up on Secondary Market trading systems where required, support execution of manually drafted documentation relating to the Equity Derivatives business
Apply analysis skills to identify and document issues and limitations with current systems and processes, articulate plans for remediation and implementation of improvements;
Draft and update procedures relating to any of the above work-streams.
Requirements
Essential Skills:
1-2 years’ minimum experience in a derivatives operations, middle office or product issuance support;
Achievement of good academic results in numerate subjects from school or college
A focus on attention to detail in all aspects of your work;
A polished and professional demeanour;
A strong work ethic backed up by your engagement in University team activities and external interests;
Strong Project Management Skills and experience;
Organised and extremely detail oriented;
Effective communication skills;
Ability to take on and manage a variety of different tasks; and
Drive continuous improvements.
Desirable skills:
Degree qualified in Economics, Mathematics, Finance or an associated discipline from a good University;
Experience in IT system implementation projects (programming or core IT skills not necessarily required);
Experience working within an Investment Bank or Financial Services Consulting firm; and
New Issuance Settlement, Settlement and or Life Cycle Event Processing Experience

This is a fixed-term, full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the clients’ offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our clients’ policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require.
