Senior Consultant – Operations, Risk & Incident Management
Location: Dublin
Employment: 12 Months FTC
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant with proven experience in operations management, risk oversight, and incident management to support our clients across financial services. This role is ideal for someone who excels in operational delivery, understands end‑to‑end processes, and can support incident, risk, and resilience frameworks while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
You will work directly with clients to optimise operational performance, enhance controls, and strengthen incident‑management capabilities, while acting as a trusted advisor to operational leaders.
Requirements
Operational Delivery & Oversight
Lead and oversee day‑to‑day operational controls, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and full alignment with regulatory and internal standards.
Create, update, and manage operational documentation, including registers, records, and control materials.
Contribute to the design and maintenance of structured operational plans enabling disciplined and controlled execution of activities.
Identify operational gaps and drive continuous improvement across processes, workflows, controls, and service delivery practices.
Supplier / Third‑Party Oversight (If applicable to client engagements)
Oversee and evaluate performance of external service providers, ensuring corrective actions are identified and implemented when issues arise.
Track delivery against key service‑level agreements, operational risk indicators, and issue‑management processes.
Risk Management & Operational Resilience
Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational resilience frameworks.
Maintain strong oversight of operational risks, identifying control gaps and recommending mitigation strategies.
Ensure operational processes meet regulatory expectations and internal policy requirements.
Incident Management
Coordinate and support incident‑management activities, including triage, escalation, root‑cause analysis, and remediation follow‑up.
Prepare incident reports for internal governance and regulatory bodies where required.
Contribute to continuity planning and support end‑to‑end execution of incident‑management frameworks.
Data, Reporting & MI
Produce and maintain operational reports, dashboards, and data‑quality oversight processes.
Support the collection, monitoring and analysis of operational data to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Client Engagement & Consulting Delivery
Build strong, trust‑based relationships with senior stakeholders and operational teams.
Deliver high‑quality consulting engagements and ensure clients receive best‑in‑class operational advisory services (based on Delta Capita’s Senior Consultant expectations).
Lead workshops, operational assessments, and risk/control review exercises.
Essential
Strong operational management experience within financial services or a related regulated environment.
Experience in incident management, including escalation, root‑cause analysis, and remediation.
Knowledge of operational risk, control frameworks, and resilience principles.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with the ability to break down complex operational issues.
Experience producing structured operational documentation, reports, dashboards, or MI.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to work in fast‑paced, changing environments and support multiple engagements at once.

This is a fixed-term contract full-time position located in Dublin. Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the clients’ offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our clients’ policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3-4 days per week in the office, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require. We require candidates to be flexible to meet our client demands.
