Sales & Customer Service Executive
This role is based in our Manchester office, you must live within a commutable distance.
Destination Sport Experiences, through its’ global sports travel brands Marathon Tours & Travel, Tri Travel, HYROX, Sportive Breaks and Destination Sport Charity cater for those who want to participate in the very best running, triathlon, fitness and cycling events across the world. Destination Sport Experiences offer tours, travel packages, and guaranteed entry to events around the world, together with VIP hospitality access to many of the top professional cycling events as well as managing travel programs for mass participation events on behalf of charities, companies and groups throughout the year. We are a proud partner of many of the Abbott World Marathon Majors and work closely with major sports events organisers across the globe. The team behind Destination Sport Experiences regularly participate in running and cycling events, as well as helping to manage events and support our clients on their journey through each event, so we understand the needs of those travelling with us.https://www.destinationsportexperiences.com/
Due to an exciting year of growth, we’re looking for a Sales & Customer Service Executive to join our Manchester, UK based team. The key purpose of this role is to build strong relationships with our clients and assist with product bookings.
No two days are the same in this exciting role but on a typical day you will:
Liaising with clients and processing bookings through our in-house booking platforms, Best and Daisy, by email and telephone.
Work closely with the Product and Operations Teams on clients enquiries, operational logistics and product availability and specifics.
Maintain customer bookings and other records such as sales trackers, always keeping information up to date.
In conjunction with the Marketing and Product Team and in line with the Client Communications Strategy, communicate with our customers to request important pre-event information required for registration and logistics such as medical certificates and flight details.
In conjunction with the Marketing Team and Head of Business Development, take the lead on sales activity to help promote the portfolio of events to notification lists or to previous client or enquiries.
Management of the teams Trello project board to ensure all customer enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner.
Suggest new events or products that we should be offering to satisfy customer demand.
Review and help to maintain information on our website and other communication channels.
Responding to customer reviews in our feedback management platform, Feefo.
Work as part of a team assisting colleagues where required.
Requirements
To be successful within this role, our ideal candidate will:
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with our customers.
Have prior sales experience preferred, but not necessary.
Have a positive attitude to looking after customers and working as part of a team.
Show good interpersonal and communication skills.
have excellent attention to detail.
Demonstrate good IT skills and understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook primarily).
Be self-motivated, well organised, and good time management.
An interest in cycling, running or triathlon would be preferable, but isn’t essential.
