Diamond Foundry

We founded Diamond Foundry in San Francisco in 2013 to produce single-crystal diamonds. We manufacture diamond wafers by converting greenhouse gas using zero-emission energy.

Initially, we focused on making sustainable diamonds for jewelry through our consumer brand, VRAI. VRAI is a digital jewelry brand that handles everything from sales to fulfillment for luxury and bridal diamond pieces.

Since 2023, we’ve shifted our focus to developing single-crystal diamond wafers for high-power chips. These address thermal issues in AI, cloud computing, electric car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless communication. We’ve developed the world’s first single-crystal diamond wafers, which let us create compact power electronics up to 8 times smaller than what Tesla uses. Our long-term goal is to introduce diamond semiconductors.

We’ve been profitable for five years and hold over 90% of the global market for large diamonds. Our work spans luxury goods, jewelry, semiconductor manufacturing, green energy, and sustainable technology.
