Manufacturing Engineer - Contract
DISHER is seeking an experienced Wire Harness Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer for our customer in Spring Lake, MI. The company is a privately held electrical cable and wire harness assembly manufacturer with injection molding and over molding capabilities. They specialize in low to medium volume and high product mix, offering multiple cables per assembly.
Their project involves putting together a new wiring harness. They want an engineer to work in the plant, looking for areas of improvement and actually building the harnesses. Project is slated to run for 3 months. Work will be mostly on-site with potentially a day a week remote.

What you’ll get to do:
- Build wire harnesses from prints
- Crimping (no soldering)
- Discover areas for improvement in processes
- Create operator instructions
What will make you successful:
- Experience designing and building wire harnesses
- Experience with SolidWorks
- Experience operating in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with fixtures and dyes
- Some understanding of software development
- Current and continuing right to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship
$30 - $55 an hour
