We started in 2007 as a software development company. We create simple, powerful tools to help individuals and small to medium-sized businesses with productivity.

Our main products are Todoist, a productivity application used by over 50 million people, and Twist, a team communication platform for organized discussions.

Our solutions are enterprise-ready, with GDPR and SOC 2 Type I compliance, but without enterprise-level complexity. We are bootstrapped and profitable, having never taken venture capital.

Our mission is to empower people with tools that are calm, reliable, and easy to adopt. We aim to inspire the workplace of the future by creating productivity software that promotes a more fulfilling way to work and live.

We operate as a fully remote and globally distributed team, referred to as Doisters. Our team consists of 96 individuals across 33 nationalities, working from 69 cities in 28 countries.

We foster a remote-first and async-first work environment, with flexible schedules that allow our employees to integrate work with their personal lives, such as attending family activities or exploring new locations. Our onboarding process includes mentorship and the opportunity for a week of in-person co-working with a mentor.

We offer a flexible work environment where employees can work remotely from anywhere in the world and design their own schedules, typically 8-hour days and no more than 40 hours per week.

• Compensation is formula-based, calculated on industry-benchmarked skills and geographical location, without negotiation.
• Employees receive a recurring budget for continuing education, including conferences, courses, and books.
• We organize in-person team and company-wide retreats.
• We provide a monthly stipend for coworking spaces, and a monthly budget for work-related apps, home internet, and music subscriptions.
• A recurring budget is also available for purchasing work-related hardware and equipment.
• Employees receive 8 weeks (40 days) of paid time off per year for vacations and national holidays.
• New parents are granted 5 weeks of paid parental leave, in addition to 13 weeks of paid pregnancy-related medical leave.
• A monthly budget is provided for health and wellness expenses, such as gym memberships, healthy snacks, massages, and health insurance.
