Job Description
About Dutch
Care when it counts — from wherever you practice.
At Dutch, we’re on a mission to make veterinary care more accessible, affordable, and supportive — for both pets and the professionals who care for them. As the only veterinary telemedicine service that can diagnose and prescribe virtually, we connect pet parents with licensed veterinarians to deliver real advice, real prescriptions, and real impact.
Backed by world-class investors including Forerunner Ventures, Eclipse Venture Capital, and Bling Capital, Dutch combines stability with the energy of a high-growth startup. Our team includes leaders who have built and scaled successful ventures like Hims, Plushcare, and TripAdvisor. Dutch has been featured in TechCrunch, Forbes, Wired, and Modern Retail, reflecting our growing influence in veterinary care and telehealth.
About the role
The Talent Operations Specialist (internally referred to as Operations Analyst) is a high-impact, cross-functional role focused on scaling and supporting our network of veterinarians. You will own the end-to-end doctor journey — from recruiting through onboarding and into active practice — ensuring Dutch can grow its veterinary workforce without friction for doctors, clients, or internal teams.
This role is well-suited for someone who is analytical and process-driven, experienced with full-cycle recruiting or operations in veterinary medicine, healthcare, or telehealth, and comfortable owning complex workflows independently. You’re motivated by improving the provider experience and building operational systems that scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Veterinarian Recruiting: Own sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring of veterinarians across multiple channels, including LinkedIn, Indeed, and inbound applicants.
- Interview & Offer Management: Lead interview coordination, manage credential checks and background verification, and oversee offer creation and execution.
- Onboarding Operations: Own end-to-end onboarding to ensure seamless integration into Dutch systems, workflows, and tools.
- Recruiting & Onboarding Optimization: Continuously improve recruiting and onboarding workflows to enhance speed, quality of hire, and overall candidate and provider experience.
- Veterinarian Performance Analytics: Track, analyze, and report on key veterinarian performance metrics.
- Performance Insights & Strategy: Identify trends and outliers, and present insights and recommendations to leadership to drive data-informed improvements.
- Dashboard & Reporting Development: Partner with analytics and product teams to design, build, and refine performance tracking tools and dashboards.
- Operational Systems Ownership: Own and continuously improve recruiting, onboarding, and provider operational systems and processes.
- Provider Payout & Reporting Oversight: Support and monitor provider payouts and reporting in partnership with Finance and Operations teams to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Customer Experience and Medical teams to ensure clear SOP alignment and operational consistency across the provider lifecycle.
Requirements
- 4-5 years of experience in operations, talent acquisition, healthcare/veterinary recruiting, or a related field
- Experience with full-cycle recruiting in a startup or high-growth environment
- Strong project management, organizational, and process-driven mindset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Veterinary industry experience a plus
- Interest in shaping the future of veterinary telemedicine and working within evolving telehealth regulations to expand access to care
Work Location
- Hybrid Preferred: Candidates located in the Bay Area (CA, U.S) or Vancouver (BC, CAN) will have a hybrid schedule with office flexibility. This is our preferred setup.
- Remote: Considered only for exceptional candidates with relevant experience and skills. Remote work is only available in the following U.S. states: California, New Jersey, Washington, Tennessee, Iowa, Florida, Colorado, Oregon, Texas, North Carolina, and New York.
- Remote team members must be able to work hours that align with Dutch’s HQ team in Pacific Time to ensure collaboration and overlap.
Benefits
- Flexible / unlimited PTO
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Robust holiday schedule
- 401(k) plan
The salary for this position is competitive and will be determined based on relevant experience, expertise, and the candidate’s location. For reference, the U.S. range is $80,000 – $110,000 USD and the Canadian range is $95,000 – $115,000 CAD
