We are seeking an SAP Fiori/UI5 Developer to design and build responsive, role‑based applications across SAP landscapes using SAPUI5 and Fiori. You will deliver end‑to‑end—from requirements and prototyping through build, testing, deployment, and support—integrating with OData/REST services and ensuring alignment to UX and security standards.
This role can be based in the Philippines (remote) or in Australia/New Zealand and requires working Australian and New Zealand business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop SAP Fiori applications using SAPUI5, Fiori elements and/or freestyle UI5 in line with SAP UX guidelines.
- Consume and troubleshoot OData services (v2/v4) and integrate with CAP and/or SAP S/4HANA backends.
- Build reusable UI components, apply responsive design, and ensure cross‑browser/device compatibility.
- Implement role‑based authorisation and app security (catalogs/groups/spaces/pages, page/space design).
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to refine requirements, prototype UIs, and deliver iteratively.
- Configure and support deployment via SAP BTP (HTML5 Application Repository) and/or SAP Fiori Launchpad.
- Write unit tests (e.g., QUnit/OPA5), perform code reviews, and maintain high‑quality documentation.
- Support incident resolution, performance analysis, and continuous UX improvements.
- Use Git and UI5 Tooling within CI/CD pipelines to manage build, test, and release processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong experience with SAPUI5 (JavaScript/TypeScript), Fiori design patterns, and Fiori elements.
- Proven ability to develop/consume OData services and debug SAP Gateway/service issues.
- Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern front‑end best practices.
- Experience with SAP Fiori Launchpad configuration and application lifecycle management.
- Proficiency with Git, UI5 Tooling, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and experience working in agile delivery teams.
- 3+ years in front‑end development, including 2+ years in SAP Fiori/UI5 (seniority dependent).
- Track record of delivering multiple Fiori apps end‑to‑end in production environments.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., SAP UI5/Fiori/BTP) are advantageous.
- Nice to have: experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, including consuming released (whitelisted) Public Cloud APIs and configuring the required communication arrangements.
