About ecobee
Founded in 2007, we make smart thermostats, cameras, and sensors. We launched the first smart thermostat in 2009. Our products work together to provide home comfort and security, while also saving energy. To date, our North American customers have saved over 27.8 TWh of energy, enough to power all homes in Los Angeles and Chicago for a year. In 2019, we introduced eco+ software, which further reduces energy use and helps the energy grid integrate renewable sources. The EPA has named us an ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year for four consecutive years for our energy-efficient smart home products. We also partner with Generac to keep homes comfortable during power outages. Through our Income Qualified (IQ) program, we’ve given over 20,000 smart thermostats to local housing organizations, cities, and NGOs since 2018.
