**This is a direct‑hire role with our client in Minneapolis, MN, working in a hybrid setup. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.**
This is an exciting leadership opportunity to shape the data strategy and execution for a fast-growing organization. You’ll lead a team of 17 data engineers, drive technical innovation, and implement modern, scalable solutions in Python, SQL, DBT, Snowflake, and cutting-edge ETL tools.

Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing data engineering team, including HR responsibilities such as performance management and PTO reviews.
Oversee and participate in hands-on development and technical delivery of data solutions.
Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines using Python, SQL, DBT, Snowflake, and modern ETL tools (Apache NiFi, Openflow).
Champion the adoption of AI/ML tools and cloud-based code review/deployment processes.
Collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and innovative data solutions.
Drive process improvements, team learning, and adoption of best practices across the data engineering organization.
Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
Proven experience leading medium-to-large technical teams (ideally 10–20+ engineers).
Deep expertise in Snowflake and DBT.
Familiarity with modern ETL frameworks such as Apache NiFi or Openflow.
Ability to work onsite in Minneapolis.
Preferred Skills
Experience with AI/ML integration in data workflows
Familiarity with cloud-based code review and deployment processes
Consulting mindset and ability to drive process change
Experience in financial services, private equity, or regulated industries
