This is a direct hire opportunity with one of our clients. The position is fully remote, but preferred Time Zones are Pacific or Mountain Time. Central Time candidates may be considered if able to support business hours through 5:00 PM Pacific. You’ll play a key role in shaping product strategy while helping evolve product management practices across the organization.
This role combines strategic product leadership with hands-on execution. You’ll spend time with customers, uncover the problems behind the problems, partner closely with design and engineering, and lead product initiatives from discovery through launch. At the same time, you’ll coach and develop a small product team while influencing leaders across the business. Responsibilities
Own product strategy, roadmap planning, prioritization, and execution.
Lead customer discovery efforts to understand user needs, market opportunities, and business challenges.
Partner with customers, stakeholders, design, and engineering teams to identify and validate solutions.
Drive products from discovery through launch, measurement, and continuous improvement.
Balance customer needs, business objectives, technical considerations, and market opportunities when making product decisions.
Facilitate product research, experimentation, and rapid prototyping initiatives.
Evaluate product opportunities based on customer value, business impact, engineering effort, and revenue potential.
Lead and develop a team consisting of two Product Owners and one Product Analyst.
Conduct coaching, mentoring, performance management, and career development conversations.
Present recommendations, business cases, and product strategies to senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
Help mature product management practices across the organization.
Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams to drive product success.
Qualifications
5+ years of Product Management experience within a SaaS or software product environment.
Proven experience leading product discovery and customer research initiatives.
Experience owning product strategy, roadmap development, and prioritization.
Demonstrated success taking products from discovery through launch and iteration.
Experience managing, mentoring, or developing Product Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, or similar roles.
Strong ability to identify root customer problems and translate insights into product opportunities.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Ability to operate effectively within ambiguous or evolving environments.
Strong business acumen and commercial decision-making skills.
Experience influencing executive stakeholders and driving alignment across teams.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Nice to Have Skills
Experience working in high-growth SaaS organizations.
Consulting or advisory experience.
Experience with AI-enabled products, automation platforms, or emerging technologies.
Experience evaluating build-versus-buy decisions and third-party software integrations.
Exposure to insurance, insurtech, fintech, or other regulated industries.
Experience building products for enterprise customers.
Familiarity with customer intelligence, customer engagement, or voice AI solutions.
Experience helping organizations modernize mature software platforms.
