About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Emma and our Accounting team.
You’ll ensure the accuracy and integrity of our group financials while mentoring a dynamic and collaborative team of General Ledgers, working closely with our Director of Accounting. You’ll have the chance to influence strategy and enhance processes in a multicultural environment.
Positioned at the core of our Finance Team, you’ll directly impact driving Emma’s growth.
What you´ll do:
- Lead and oversee the financial accounting in our Americas entities to ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with IFRS and local GAAPs.
- Mentor and lead a team of accountants in different locations, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Coordinate and steer our local accounting service providers to ensure effective service delivery
- Work closely with other finance teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Streamline accounting processes and systems, optimizing the use of our ERP.
- Coordinate audit schedules, liaise with external auditors, and assist with tax and regulatory compliance in the region.
- Drive data-driven decision-making through ad-hoc financial analyses and projects (in cooperation with our Controlling team)
- Be a proactive member of our entrepreneurial culture by sharing your financial leadership and problem-solving skills.
Who we´re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in group accounting, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- A sound knowledge base of IFRS.
- Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of developing teams.
- A strategic mindset with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Business Central is a plus.
- A master’s degree or CPA is a plus.
- Fluency in Portuguese is a plus.
