Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Sales and Distribution (SD) Consultant to support an ECC to S/4HANA transformation program. The consultant will play a key role in the design, configuration, validation, and deployment of S/4HANA SD solutions aligned with SAP Best Practices and the project’s Global Template approach. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in full-cycle S/4HANA implementations, deep knowledge of end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, and prior exposure to transformation projects using SAP Activate and implementation accelerators. Experience in cement, building materials, manufacturing, or heavy industries is highly desirable. The resource will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, technical teams, and system integrators to ensure successful migration, adoption, and stabilization of S/4HANA Sales and Distribution.
Responsibilities and Duties
- The SAP SD Consultant will be responsible for: Leading and facilitating Fit-to-Standard workshops for Order-to-Cash processes. Supporting the design and validation of the S/4HANA Global Template for Sales and Distribution. Mapping business requirements from ECC to S/4HANA SD. Configuring SAP S/4HANA SD according to project standards and best practices, including: Sales document types Pricing procedures Output determination Shipping and billing processes Identifying and documenting gaps, RICEFW requirements, and process changes. Collaborating with technical teams on: Interfaces (e.g., EDI, third-party systems, customer portals) Enhancements Conversions Reports Forms (invoices, delivery notes, etc.) Supporting data migration activities, including: Customer master data mapping Open sales orders and deliveries Pricing and condition records validation Preparing and executing test scenarios: Unit Testing (UT) Integration Testing (IT) User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Providing training support and knowledge transfer to business users. Supporting cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities. Working closely with project managers, other functional consultants (FI, MM, EWM, etc.), and system integrators to ensure timely delivery. Ensuring alignment with SAP Activate methodology and project governance.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in SAP SD. At least 4 full-cycle SAP S/4 implementations, including: Strong expertise in core SAP SD processes and functionalities, including: Sales Order Management Pricing and Condition Techniques Deliveries and Shipping (LE integration) Billing and Invoicing Credit Management (SD integration with FI) Returns, Complaints, and Rebates (if applicable)
- Experience with: Data migration from ECC to S/4HANA (customers, pricing, open sales documents, etc.) Fiori apps for Sales and Billing Integration with other SAP modules, especially: FI (Billing to Accounting) MM (Availability, ATP, Shipping) EWM/LE (if in scope)
- Prior experience in industries similar to cement, construction materials, manufacturing, or industrial sector is a strong plus. Experience working in global or regional rollout programs is preferred.
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
Additional Comments
This role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and business process understanding of Order-to-Cash. The consultant should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural, and geographically distributed environment. Experience with: Advanced Credit Management in S/4HANA SAP TM (Transportation Management) integration SAP EWM or embedded EWM is considered an advantage. Prior exposure to large-scale transformation programs and global templates is highly valued. Availability for occasional travel may be required depending on project needs. The consultant should demonstrate a proactive, collaborative, and results-driven mindset.
