We at Coforge are hiring Senior Automation Engineer (#21064) with the following skill set.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks, scripts, and quality engineering solutions.
- Contribute to automation tool enhancements, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous integration systems to improve maintainability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with software, security, and cross-functional engineering teams to perform system-level testing, troubleshoot issues, and ensure software quality.
- Analyze test results, diagnose issues across multi-tier architectures, and provide recommendations to improve system performance, reliability, and developer productivity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, including at least 3 years as an SDET and 2+ years of experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript for automation development.
- Experience designing and building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong expertise with frontend automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, TestCafe, or similar technologies.
- Experience developing backend integration tests for RESTful APIs and working with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and source control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and log analysis skills, including tools such as Splunk or GCP logging solutions.
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills with experience working in Agile/Lean environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience testing cloud-based products and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with VPN technologies and networking concepts.
- Experience with load, scalability, and performance testing.
- Experience building internal tools to improve developer productivity and testing efficiency.
