Job Summary
As a Senior AWS Infrastructure & Platform Architect (20192), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Design and lead the architecture of scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions on AWS
- Define and implement cloud platform standards, automation frameworks, and best practices across engineering teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into cloud architecture solutions
- Optimize platform performance, reliability, and cost efficiency while ensuring security and compliance across AWS environments
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or platform architecture roles
- Strong expertise designing and managing AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and RDS
- Experience architecting scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms in production environments
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks
- Experience with cloud networking, security architecture, and disaster recovery strategies
- Proficiency with Linux environments and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar
- AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional are highly desirable
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills in complex technical environments
