Job Summary
As a Senior Backend Developer (17938), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and APIs using Ruby on Rails and Python, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Design and manage relational databases with MySQL, implementing efficient queries and data models for high availability.
- Integrate backend systems with front-end components built in React and support caching, search, and background processing using Redis, ElasticSearch, and Sidekiq.
Qualifications and Skills
- Professional/ Advanced English skills.
- Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and Python for backend development.
- Advanced knowledge of relational databases, particularly MySQL, including query optimization and schema design.
- Experience with frontend integration using React for full stack development.
- Familiarity with caching, search, and background job technologies such as Redis, ElasticSearch, and Sidekiq.
- Understanding of software architecture principles, API design, and scalable system development.
- Experience working with version control systems like Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and automated testing frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- TypeScript experience is a plus.
