Job Summary
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
Build and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines using AWS-native services such as Glue, EMR Serverless, Kinesis, and Lambda.
Implement efficient ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load structured and unstructured datasets ensuring data accuracy and performance.
Develop optimized schemas and storage solutions leveraging Redshift, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, and Lake Formation for high-performance and scalability.
Qualifications and Skills
Professional/ Advanced English skills.
+5 years of experience.
Strong experience with AWS-native data services such as Glue, EMR, Redshift, and Lambda.
Proficiency in building and optimizing data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows for large-scale datasets.
Experience with real-time streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, or Spark Streaming).
Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning for analytical and transactional systems.
Exposure to GraphQL-based API enablement in collaboration with Full Stack teams.
Familiarity with data cataloging, metadata management, and lineage tools (Glue Data Catalog, Amundsen, DataHub, etc.).
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS).
Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation.
