Job Summary
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (19245), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure reliability, availability, and scalability of applications hosted in Azure cloud environments
- Develop and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies to maintain system performance and stability
- Collaborate with development and cross-functional teams to define user journeys and establish service level indicators (SLIs) that drive operational success
- Automate operational processes and continuously improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in IT with at least 3 years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar roles
- Strong experience implementing and applying Site Reliability Engineering practices
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud environments and cloud infrastructure management
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes across the software development lifecycle
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Azure dashboards
- Experience using GitHub, including GitHub Flow and GitHub Actions
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and communication skills in cross-team environments
