Job Summary
As a Technical Lead (Java, Python + AWS) (19562),you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead the design and development of scalable backend services and cloud-native solutions using Java or Python within AWS environments
- Define system architecture, including APIs, service boundaries, data flows, and persistence layers to support scalable and reliable platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate product needs into robust technical solutions
- Ensure system reliability and performance by implementing monitoring, automated testing, and continuous improvements across the development lifecycle
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of experience in backend software development using Java and/or Python
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, and cloud-native architectures
- Proficiency creating and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Experience working with AWS Cognito for authentication and identity management
- Deep understanding of system design principles, including scalable, fault-tolerant, and distributed systems
- Strong experience designing and managing backend databases, including schema design, migrations, and performance optimization
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment workflows
- Ability to translate product requirements into scalable and maintainable backend solutions
- Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills in cross-functional teams
