Job Summary:

The UX/UI Designer will work under the direction of a Lead Designer and/or a Design Manager to deliver high-quality, user-centered design solutions. This role involves understanding complex use cases, designing intuitive user flows, and applying UX best practices to enhance digital experiences. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, agile environment.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work closely with the Lead Designer or Design Manager to deliver project design assets.

  • Understand and translate complex user needs into clear and intuitive design solutions.

  • Build and document requirements through Design Requirements Documents (DRDs).

  • Plan, track, and deliver work in Jira, following 2-week sprint cycles.

  • Create low- to medium-fidelity design assets according to project needs.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to refine and validate design solutions.

  • Partner with the design team to review and finalize work before hand-off.

  • Communicate design progress, blockers, and updates frequently to stakeholders and design leadership.

  • Ensure timely completion of deliverables while adhering to established project patterns and component libraries.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design or related roles.

  • Strong understanding of design principles, usability, and accessibility standards.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks in an agile environment.


Role-specific Requirements:

  • Experience working in agile or scrum teams using Jira or similar tools.

  • Ability to produce design deliverables across different fidelity levels (wireframes, prototypes, specs).

  • Familiarity with DRD (Design Requirement Documents) and design documentation best practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to work under direction while contributing to design consistency and quality.

  • Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD

  • Jira and Confluence

  • Design Systems and Component Libraries

  • Prototyping and collaboration tools (Zeplin, InVision, Miro, etc.)
