Job Summary
As a Web QA Engineer, you will make a significant contribution to web application quality, automated test coverage, and cross-browser compatibility by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. The QA Engineer evaluates emerging automation tools (like Selenium and WebDriver), promotes improvements to the automated test framework, and shapes standards and best practices for reusable test assets while providing expert guidance to project teams. This role plays a fundamental role in driving the adoption of cloud-based testing platforms (like BrowserStack) to ensure functionality and compliance across multiple environments, in collaboration with developers, product owners, and architecture teams.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Automate tests through the use of test automation tools;
- Interact with the Software Development team in order to complete ticket cycles;
- Analyze system and applications and propose test strategy;
- Participate in technical discussions with the customer;
- Coordinate with the development team to drive product quality;
- Continuously improve the automation, speed, quality, and ease of testing;
- Create Test Cases and execute manual tests;
- Work in a dynamic, collaborative, and transparent environment where talent is valued over a role title.
Essential Skills
- Experience with Selenium or WebDriver for testing web applications;
- Knowledge of creating scripts using automated testing tools and end-to-end test framework;
- Good Web testing experience (React app);
- Good REST API testing experience;
- Basic AWS services.
Highly Desirable Skills
- Experience developing test cases/plans and ability to analyze code to identify the root cause of issues;
- Experience working in an Agile / Scrum / Kanban environment.
