This role exists to bring ownership, structure, and accountability to one of the most critical growth levers in the business.
We are hiring a Head of Performance Marketing to own paid acquisition execution and performance for one of our core brands: This is a hands-on, execution-critical role. It is not about high-level strategy decks or reporting without ownership. You are expected to be deeply involved in Google Ads and Meta Ads, while also leading a small team and managing significant budgets. You will report to the Global Head of Marketing and work closely with founders, analytics, and creative teams.
Paid media is our primary revenue engine. As budgets scale and markets expand: Small inefficiencies compound quickly; Poor structure destroys margins; Execution quality directly impacts profitability. This role exists to ensure that growth is intentional, measurable, and profitable, not accidental.
As Head of Performance Marketing, you will be responsible for:
Owning Google Ads and Meta Ads execution end-to-end for one of our major brands
Managing and optimising a multi-million USD annual paid media budget
Leading, mentoring, and developing a small performance marketing team (2–4 people)
Staying hands-on in accounts: structure, optimisation, testing, and scaling
Ensuring profitability-first growth, not revenue at the expense of margins
Translating business objectives into executable paid media plans
Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on performance and unit economics
Improving account structure, testing frameworks, and optimisation processes
Coordinating closely with creative, analytics, and product teams
Using tools such as ClickUp to plan, prioritise, and execute work
Identifying performance risks early and acting decisively
To be clear, this role is not: A purely strategic or advisory position; A reporting-only role without execution; A place for agency-style output without ownership. You are expected to sit down, work the accounts, and ship improvements.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who is:
Highly analytical and commercially minded
Comfortable owning budgets, decisions, and outcomes
Structured, detail-oriented, and execution-focused
Confident leading a small team without losing hands-on depth
Requirements
2+ years of hands-on Google Ads experience (Search + Shopping)
1+ year of hands-on Meta Ads experience
Proven experience managing or mentoring junior performance marketers
Strong understanding of e-commerce KPIs (ROAS, CAC, contribution margin)
Experience scaling paid media in US, UK, or EU markets
Strong numerical skills and confidence using Google Sheets
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, founder-led environment
Strong command of English, written and spoken
Experience with Display, YouTube, or additional paid channels is a plus, but not required.
Working model
Based in Barcelona Small, focused team at WeWork, with regular travel to our offices in London and Belgrade
In-office Monday to Thursday with the option to Remote on Fridays
