D365 FO/SCM Finance Consultant and Business Analyst (M/L), 1-2 Years Contract

SUMMARY:
The D365FO Finance Consultant & Business Analyst will collaborate primarily with Eurofins’ finance key users, process owners, finance leads, and internal/external IT teams to support the global deployment of the D365FO finance solution across 40+ countries. The role requires the ability to understand end-to-end finance processes, system integration, reporting and underlying business requirements especially in core finance/accounting areas (such as R2R, O2C, P2P, GL, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank) and apply this knowledge to validate, adapt, and implement the global D365FO template during country rollouts.
The role is primarily focused on deployment activities, ensuring the successful rollout of the global D365FO finance solution across multiple geographies. This includes coordinating local fit-gap analyses, executing localization and configuration tasks, supporting data migration, validating end-to-end processes through testing (e.g. SIT, UAT), preparing test reports and ensuring adherence to the Eurofins global template. While the main responsibility is deployment execution, the role will also occasionally contribute to solution design, functional specifications, and post Go-Live support when required.
As part of the internal D365 Centre of Excellence (CoE), the successful candidate will work closely with existing IT team but also with our external implementation Partner to apply the global template consistently, but in the same time to address country-specific requirements through proper localization, secure integration readiness, and ensure a smooth transition to operations. This role is transversal, collaborating across Finance, IT, and regional business teams to drive standardization and harmonization of future, to-be finance operating model at Eurofins.
POSITION & OBJECTIVES:
Configuration & Module Setup. Configure and maintain in between D365FO Finance, Accounting, COA, Dimensions, Fixed Assets, Sales, Cost Accounting, and Warehousing modules in accordance with global design, internal policies, and KGD/GxP-relevant standards,
System Integration. Setup, support and validate (e.g. through SIT, UAT) integrations between D365FO and surrounding systems (CRM, ADMS, LIMS, and other, where relevant.), ensuring process continuity, data consistency and quality, and reliable end-to-end flows,
Data Migration. Lead and manage data migration activities, including data mapping, cleansing, validation, and testing, ensuring accurate and compliant transition of legacy data into D365FO,
Training & Support. Provide training, documentation, and functional support during testing, cutover, Go-Live, and hyper-care to drive user adoption and stable operations,
Documentation: Create and maintain the necessary project documentation, including functional specification (process flows, configuration documents, user manuals, test scenarios) to ensure clarity, auditability, and alignment with global standards,
Business Process Analysis. Assess global and regional finance and accounting processes, identify gaps and localization needs, and validate requirements with Finance and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment with the global Eurofins’ finance template,
Functional Solution Design. Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and D365FO configuration settings that meet global process standards and business objectives,
Project Delivery & Rollout Execution. Lead selected functional streams during country rollouts, conduct fit-gap analyses, support localization, and coordinate deliverables with the CoE, implementation Partner, and project stakeholders,
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum 7–8 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft ERP solutions including D365FO/SCM, AX2012, and/or Great Plains in a Business Analyst, System Analyst, Functional Consultant, Implementation Consultant, or similar role, ideally implementing solutions across both EU and the US,
Deep understanding of end-to-end business processes, primarily in finance – with strong focus on all accounting areas, general accounting, taxation, banking, reporting, cost management and operational and management reporting – as well as related domains such as supply chain and sales,
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and standards, including IFRS, US GAAP, and other local country-specific regulations, ensuring compliance in system design and global rollouts,
Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels in a multicultural, international environment,
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities, capable of operating at a high conceptual level while also diving into technical or process-level details when required,
Operational finance experience, such as prior roles as an Accountant, Finance Controller, or similar finance function within a medium or large global organization, is a significant advantage,
Very good understanding of D365FO security and compliance requirements, including Segregation of Duties (SoD), security roles and privileges, and alignment with audit, IT control, and regulations,
Minimum bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, information technology or computer science, or a related field. A PMI-PMP or similar project management certification is a strong advantage,
Excellent English-speaking skills, both verbal and written. Other languages is a great plus.
Additional Information
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required (20%-40%, depending on project phase) to regional offices, subsidiaries, or project sites may be required to support UAT, workshops, and Go-Live activities,
Work Environment: The role is transversal and collaborative, interacting with Finance, IT, external Partner and corporate and regional business + IT teams in a multicultural and international environment,
Contract Type & Location: Minimum contract duration: Minimum 1 Year with high probability for extension to 2 Years. B2B preferred, with flexibility for hybrid remote collaboration with international teams. Permanent contract considerable.
