The team is currently looking for an Associate Data Analyst/Data Analyst (Maternity Cover) to be jointly responsible for the research, standardisation, modelling, and forecasting of various demographic, socio and macro-economic data meeting client needs and deadlines.
This role demands a high level of analytical skill, proactive problem-solving, and commitment to continuously improving data research, modelling and forecasting techniques, as well as exploring and implementing new methods to improve data comparability and quality.
Key responsibilities:
Research, update, and extend data from national and international statistical sources.
Analyze and manipulate datasets, carrying out calculations and numerical analysis as required using R.
Standardize raw statistical data to ensure cross-country comparability.
Extrapolate and interpolate data using both quantitative and qualitative methods to develop modelling and forecasting techniques.
Monitor, review, and enhance data quality.
Document all work processes to ensure team alignment and best practices.
Liaise with sales and marketing departments and handle client queries.
Background in mathematics, econometrics, economics, or similar field.
Proficiency in R.
Experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis and time series forecasting.
Understanding of and interest in international economic, demographic and social trends.
Excellent communications skills and fluency in English (both oral & written).
Strong organizational skills, creativity and attention to detail.
Ability to work on own initiative.
